Summer is quickly approaching (feels like it’s already here) here in SW Florida. The heat of summer can be hard to find relief from. You might want to think about adding some trees to help with that problem. Trees can do so much more than “look beautiful” in your landscape. They can provide shade to areas of your landscape that may be sensitive to the direct sunlight. These trees provide the shade to make it “tolerable” while you are outside enjoying your landscape. Did you know that trees can actually save you $MONEY$? A properly placed tree on the south or west side of your yard can help to keep your home cooler, therefore allowing you to use less energy to cool your home. Saving money and adding appeal to your landscape is a great idea regardless of which tree you choose. Below you will find some of the more common trees that thrive in our tropical climate. Some of these trees may be harder to find than others, but we are usually able to track them down given a little time.
